Film: "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels"

Character: Freddy

Year: 1988

Still one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Steve Martin is outstanding as a small-time con artist who pairs up with one of best scam artists around (a more than perfect Michael Caine). Martin is at his absolute best, playing multiple roles including that of "Ruprecht the Monkey Boy". This is a screen gem.

In the choice to go with the original or the remake, I went with the remake. The original (with Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor) was great, but nothing beats funny-man Steve Martin. Faced with giving away his only daughter on her big day, Martin tries his best to deal with the stress and mishaps that come along with planning (and paying) for a wedding.
