Brit of the Week

Lucy Punch (Dec. 30, 1977) was born in London. She started her career early when she decided to join the National Youth Theatre. After that she tried her hand at college, attending University College London, but dropped out to pursue acting full time. She made her debut in a 1998 episode of "The New Adventures of Robin Hood". Since then she has appeared in "Greenfingers", "Ella Enchanted", "Hot Fuzz", "Dinner for Schmucks", and "You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger". Up next for the funny lady: "Bad Teacher" (with Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel), "A Little Bit of Heaven" (with Kate Hudson and Gael Garcia Bernal), and "Take Me Home Tonight" (with Anna Faris and Topher Grace).

Did You Know...

... Brad Pitt and Sarah Polley were originally cast as 'Russell Hammond' and 'Penny Lane' in 2000's "Almost Famous". Pitt admitted to director Cameron Crowe that he didn't understand the character and Polley dropped out due to scheduling conflicts with another film. Billy Crudup was cast as 'Russell' and Kate Hudson (who was originally cast as 'Anita', and subsequently replaced by Zooey Deschanel) was recast as 'Penny'.

22 Best Dance Scenes

Film: NINE
Director: Rob Marshall
Actors: Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard,
Penelope Cruz, Judi Dench, Stacey Ferguson,
Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Sophia Loren
Year: 2009

The film sucked, but a few of the songs were fabulous... especially Kate Hudson's musical turn as 'Stephanie' the US reporter. Who knew she could sing and dance? I guess she inherited more than her good looks from Ms. Goldie Hawn.
