Did You Know...

... the band 'Save Ferris' (who were featured in the film "Ten Things I Hate About You") chose their name as a tribute to the film "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".

Film: GODZILLA

Director: Roland Emmerich

Actors: Matthew Broderick, Hank Azaria, Maria Pitillo, Jean Reno, Vicki Lewis, Kevin Dunn, Michael Lerner, Harry Shearer, Doug Savant

Year: 1998

This really had the potential to be a good action flick, but something (or someone) fell short. It's boring and pretty lame (in the special effects category). If you're looking for this kind of film... aka a monster movie, watch 2008's "Cloverfield" or even 2007's "The Mist".

Did You Know...

... the loft used in the film "Addicted to Love" actually belongs to Meg Ryan. Apparently, she offered up her digs to offset filming costs for the flick.

Flick of the Day

Film: ADDICTED TO LOVE

Director: Griffin Dunne

Actors: Meg Ryan, Matthew Broderick, Kelly Preston, Tcheky Karyo, Maureen Stapleton

Year: 1997

Synopsis: A tough-as-nails woman and a shy man join forces to break up their exes.

Before she took up with Russell Crowe or had a face transplant, Meg Ryan was in her element with romantic comedies. In this revenge-comedy, Ryan and Matthew Broderick are funny and have surprisingly great chemistry. Kelly Preston is good as usual, but it's French actor Tcheky Karyo who really stands out in a hilarious performance.

3.) FERRIS BUELLER'S DAY OFF

Director: John Hughes

Actors: Matthew Broderick, Mia Sara, Jennifer Grey, Alan Ruck,

Jeffrey Jones, Ben Stein, Edie McClurg, Charlie Sheen

Year: 1986

The ultimate school-ditching movie, was a major hit and featured a young Matthew Broderick (or as I like to call him... Mr. SJP). Ferris (Broderick) and a couple of friends (Sara and Ruck) hit Chicago for a day of fun and mayhem. Watch for Charlie Sheen in a role that would foreshadow his own life. He plays a drug-addicted delinquent.
