Spanish beauty Paz Vega captivated audiences with her American film debut, "Spanglish". She took on the role of Flor, a Mexican single mother, trying to support her young daughter by taking a job as a housekeeper. She is employed by the Claskys (Adam Sandler and Tea Leoni) and soon finds that she must help her daughter understand life while balancing her workload. Paz is charming and very funny at times (the family dog seems to love her) and I look forward to seeing more of her in American cinema.

I tried. I really tried. I gave it a chance, but it was a waste of my time. It was as though there was no script and everyone just said whatever they wanted. It was uneven, oddly going back and forth between the families. Mostly I was just bored. Skip it!

How can you go wrong with a movie that takes place in the 80s (but was made in the 90s)? Adam Sandler takes on the title role with a very funny and, surprisingly, sweet performance. After being stood up by his own bride, Robbie (Sandler) meets and falls for wedding waitress Julia (Barrymore). The only problem is, she's already engaged. Arquette sibling, Alexis is incredible as a Boy George-wannabe.
