Did You Know...

... originally director Francis Ford Coppola cast Winona Ryder as 'Mary Corleone' in 1990's"The Godfather: Part III"...


...but she had to drop out due to exhaustion (many speculate that she had a nervous breakdown). She was subsequently replaced with Coppola's daughter, Sofia... and the rest would go down in bad-casting history.


Francis Ford Coppola was so adamant about working with Ryder, he cast her in "Dracula" two years later.

Oscar winner Nicolas Cage is actually a part of the Coppola clan. Born Nicholas Kim Coppola, he is the son of professor August Coppola... making him the nephew of actor Talia Shire and director Francis Ford Coppola and the cousin of director Sofia Coppola and actor/musician Jason Schwartzman.
