Flick of the Day

Film: KISS THE GIRLS

Director: Gary Fleder

Actors: Ashley Judd, Morgan Freeman, Cary Elwes, Tony Goldwyn, Alex McArthur, Brian Cox, Roma Maffia, Jeremy Piven

Year: 1997

Synopsis: A doctor escapes being held captive by a serial killer.

A word of advice if you're a female... don't watch this alone at night. It's one of the creepiest films to come out of the 90s. A woman (Judd) is kidnapped from her bed and held captive for several days. She manages (barely) to escape and helps a detective find the mad man. Judd and Freeman are great (as always) and you'll be guessing until the very end.

Flick of the Day

Film: RED

Director: Robert Schwentke

Actors: Bruce Willis, Mary Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Karl Urban, Brian Cox, Richard Dreyfus, Julian McMahon

Year: 2010

Synopsis: Retired members of the CIA begin to be assassinated.

What a rush. Aging bad-asses Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Brian Cox, and Bruce Willis are awesome in this witty, original action flick. Mirren and a hilarious Malkovich stand out in a phenomenal cast (even Bruce Willis, who is typically blah). Get you butt in gear and check this film out immediately.
