Quote of the Day

"Look, I guarantee there will be tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing. But, I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life... because I know, in my heart, you're the only one for me."

22 Best Dance Scenes

Film: CHICAGO
Director: Rob Marshall
Actors: Renee Zellweger, Richard Gere,
Catherine Zeta-Jones, John C. Reilly, Queen Latifah,
Christine Baranski, Taye Diggs, Dominic West
Year: 2002

This film was beautifully shot, with several fantastic dance scenes to boot. But, the 'Cell Block Tango' sequence was by far the most visually stimulating. Catherine Zeta-Jones, although not a perfect dancer, really keeps up with the amazing ensemble.

Performance of the Day

Actor: JULIA ORMOND
Film: "First Knight"
Character: Guinevere
Year: 1995

Julia Ormond intrigued audiences in the mid 90s with her work in "Legends of the Fall" and "Sabrina", but it was her performance in 1995's "First Knight" that really sticks out in my mind. She played beautiful Guinevere, the woman who married King Arthur (Sean Connery), but fell in love with Lancelot (Richard Gere). She portrayed Guinevere with a mix of sensitivity and strength and was absolutely stunning to watch. I haven't seen her much these days (she played Brad Pitt's daughter in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" a couple of years back) and I hope she will come back strong.

Flick of the Day

Film: UNFAITHFUL
Director: Adrian Lyne
Actors: Diane Lane, Richard Gere, Olivier Martinez, Erik Per Sullivan, Michelle Monaghan, Chad Lowe, Kate Burton
Year: 2002

Synopsis: A married woman engages in a seductive affair with dangerous results.

Diane Lane, who has been acting since childhood, burst into the A-list with her Oscar-nominated performance in "Unfaithful". The film is alluring and very well written. Olivier Martinez, who plays her sexy lover, and Richard Gere in a surprisingly great role, round out the main cast. This flick will suck you in and keep you intrigued, especially the last 40 minutes.

Performance of the Day

Actor: DON CHEADLE
Film: "Brooklyn's Finest"
Character: Clarence 'Tango' Butler
Year: 2009

Oscar nominee Don Cheadle stars in this gritty, dark drama. The Antoine Fuqua-directed film revolves around three cops; a soon to be retiree (Richard Gere), a financially-troubled father of five (Ethan Hawke), and an undercover officer (Cheadle) who can't seem to remember what side he's on. Cheadle shines, as he usually does, in a very complex role.
