Film: THE ANNIVERSARY PARTY

Actors: Jennifer Jason Leigh, Alan Cumming, Jennifer Beals, Kevin Kline, Phoebe Cates, Parker Posey, John Benjamin Hickey, Jane Adams, Mina Badie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Denis O'Hare, John C. Reilly

Year: 2001

Synopsis: An aging actor and her writer husband throw an all-night anniversary party with all of their closest friends.

Jennifer Jason Leigh and Alan Cumming penned, directed, and starred in this great little film. They even cast their real-life friends (The Klines, Paltrow, etc). It's complex and deep, but also very funny and real. I highly recommend this, which costars birthday girl, Jennifer Beals.

15.) FAST TIMES AT RIDGEMONT HIGH

Director: Amy Heckerling

Actors: Judge Reinhold, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Phoebe Cates,

Sean Penn, Anthony Edwards, Forest Whitaker, Eric Stoltz, Nicolas Cage

Year: 1982

This story centers around a girl and her older brother as they deal with the troubles of high school. Everyone remembers this film, mainly because of bleach-blond, surfer dude Sean Penn and his hilarious (and very different) performance. Check for small performances by future stars Nicolas Cage, Anthony Edwards, and Forest Whitaker.
