Flick of the Day

Director: Jonathan Demme
Actors: Michelle Pfeiffer, Matthew Modine, Dean Stockwell, Mercedes Ruehl, Alec Baldwin, Joan Cusack, Oliver Platt, Nancy Travis, Colin Quinn
Year: 1988

Synopsis: A woman tries to start her life over after her mobster husband is killed.

Complete with big 80s hair and New York accents, "Married to the Mob" will be a fun experience for you. Michelle Pfeiffer, in an atypical role, is fantastic as Angela DeMarco. After her lying, cheating husband (Baldwin) is murdered, Angela hightails it to the city to start her life over with her son. It's a funny, light-hearted movie with a great cast (Mercedes Ruehl is hilarious) and I highly recommend it.

I've always had a soft spot for Married To The Mob because it was the first film that I ever saw Michelle Pfeiffer appear in.
It's lot of fun and Michelle really nails the role of Angela DeMarco with good support from Matthew Modine, Dean Stockwell and Mercedes Reuhl too.
