Taking over for Oscar-nominated Pat Morita (Mr. Miyagi of the original 'Karate Kid' movie), Jackie Chan rises to the occasion. Generally known to play the goofy guy, Chan does this role with a perfect mix of sadness and intensity. This may be the best performance of his long career in film. Good job Jackie!
