Reincarnations

We recently watched the strange and intriguing Kubrick classic, "A Clockwork Orange" and thought that young Malcolm McDowell reminded us of someone. It took us awhile, but then we realized it was Evan Peters from the hauntingly amazing "American Horror Story". Their mannerisms, physical features, and even their downright creepiness were so similar.

Some people are going to disagree, but I think Lindsay Lohan might be the modern day Demi Moore. I know what you are thinking. It's an insult to compare Demi today with Lindsay today. What you might not know is Demi went through her own drug and alcohol problems in the late 80s (and it nearly ended her career. She was almost fired from "St. Elmo's Fire"). Fortunately for her, she got her act together and hopefully La Vida Lohan will too (although it isn't looking promising). If that doesn't convince you, check out the similar features (the green eyes and tiny nose) and that raspy voice. Oh, and both come from highly dysfunctional, low-class families.

While watching "Attack the Block" I found myself thinking about "Training Day". Why? Because actor John Boyega looks like a young version of Denzel Washington.

***Two-time Oscar winner Denzel Washington is best known for his roles in "Glory", "Philadelphia", "Man on Fire", and "Inside Man". John is an up-and-coming British actor who stars in "Attack the Block" and soon can be seen in "Junkhearts".

I always thought Annette Bening looked like a younger version of Shirley Maclaine. The pale complexion, sandy brown hair, and scrunched blue eyes... What's more, Annette married Shirley's brother; Warren Beatty.

It's been said before, but "Private Practice" star
Kate Walsh looks a lot like a young Catherine Deneuve.

*** Catherine is best known for her work in "Dancer in the Dark", "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg", "8 Women", and "The Musketeer". Kate gained famed on "Grey's Anatomy" and moved on to her own show, "Private Practice".

Tom Hardy is quite possibly the modern-day Marlon Brando

*** Hardy is best known for his work in "Inception", "Dot the I", and the upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises". Brando was iconic for his roles in "The Godfather", "A Streetcar Named Desire", and "On the Waterfront".

Canadian actor Mia Kirshner looks a lot like...

...legendary screen icon Vivien Leigh

*** Mia Kirshner is known best for her roles in "Not Another Teen Movie", "The Black Dahlia", and on the first season of hit show "24". Vivien Leigh won two Oscars in her career for her work in "Gone with the Wind" and "A Streetcar Named Desire".

Former golden couple Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are the modern-day Robert Redford and Barbra Streisand. Pitt is Hollywood's all-American golden boy, just as Redford was in the 70s and 80s. Aniston strongly resembles Streisand and both have proven that you can be attractive and sexy without being traditionally and conventionally beautiful.

***Redford was best known for starring roles in "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid", "The Sting", "All the President's Men", and "Indecent Proposal". He is also known for directing such films as "Ordinary People" (for which he won Best Director), "The Horse Whisperer", "A River Runs Through It" (which starred a then unknown Pitt), and founding the Sundance Film Festival in Utah. Pitt is known for starring in "Seven", "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", "Twelve Monkeys" and the "Ocean's Eleven" films. Streisand is best known for her perfect voice, her Oscar-winning role in "Funny Girl", and directing such films as "The Mirror Has Two Faces", "Yentl", and "The Prince of Tides". Aniston became a star with her portrayal of 'Rachel' in the hit show "Friends". She has also attempted to become a box-office draw in films like "Marley and Me", "Rock Star", and "The Switch".

Gwyneth Paltrow more than resembles Mia Farrow, with her sweet sensibility, shy demeanor, and blonde waify look.

***Farrow is known for her roles in "Rosemary's Baby", "A Wedding", "Hannah and her Sisters", and "Miami Rhapsody". Paltrow has starred in "A Perfect Murder", "Emma", "Shakespeare in Love", and the upcoming "Country Strong".

Johansson starred in "Lost in Translation", "The Other Boleyn Girl", "Vicky Cristina Barcelona", and is married to 'Sexiest Man Alive', Ryan Reynolds.

Three-time Oscar-nominee Laura Linney is the modern-day Rosemary Clooney. Sure, Linney is not known at all for singing, the way Clooney was, but they both radiate bright, bubbly, girl-next-door personalities.

***Clooney is known for "White Christmas", being the aunt of a slightly... less famous George, but more importantly for being a very successful singer ('Mambo Italiano' has got to be her biggest hit). Linney has starred in "The Truman Show", "Mystic River", "Love Actually", and now stars as a cancer-stricken woman who decides to live life to the fullest in the hit show "The Big C".

Scottish actor Kelly Macdonald is the modern day Joan Fontaine. Both possess a quiet beauty and grace on screen... and they look so much alike too. I know someone who'd be perfect to star in a Joan Fontaine biopic.

***Macdonald is best known for her roles in "Trainspotting", "Nanny McPhee", and "No Country For Old Men". Oscar winner Fontaine, a megastar in the 1940s, was best known for "Rebecca", "The Women", and "Suspicion".
