Brit of the Week


Naomie Harris (Sept. 6, 1976) was born and raised in London. Her single mother was a sitcom writer, who had immigrated from Jamaica. Harris attended Pembroke College, Cambridge for her undergraduate work and then trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. She had been getting small parts on commercials and series since the age of nine, but it was her starring role in Danny Boyle's 2002 horror masterpiece, "28 Days Later". Since her big break, Harris has had roles in "After the Sunset", Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest", "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End", "Miami Vice", and "Street Kings".
