Performance of the Day

Film: "Cat Ballou"
Character: Cat Ballou
Year: 1965

Long before the days of 'Hanoi Jane' and two Oscar wins, Fonda starred as a young woman out to avenge her father's murder. She joins forces with an infamous gunslinger, but he's not the man he used to be. Fonda is funny, endearing, and down-right fabulous as strong-willed Cat Ballou. She held her own next to hilarious acting veteran Lee Marvin (as the shaky gun-for-hire).
