... the movie "Gracie" is based on the young life of Elisabeth Shue. Shue's brother, Andrew (of "Melrose Place" fame) wrote the story about a young girl who fights to play soccer competitively. Elisabeth and Andrew also both had parts in the film (with Elisabeth playing Gracie's mother).
