Quote of the Day

“Ladies and Gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. I have the only gun on board. Welcome to Con Air.”

John Malkovich as 'Cyrus', "Con Air", 1997

Flick of the Day

Film: RED
Director: Robert Schwentke
Actors: Bruce Willis, Mary Louise Parker, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Karl Urban, Brian Cox, Richard Dreyfus, Julian McMahon
Year: 2010

Synopsis: Retired members of the CIA begin to be assassinated.

What a rush. Aging bad-asses Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, Brian Cox, and Bruce Willis are awesome in this witty, original action flick. Mirren and a hilarious Malkovich stand out in a phenomenal cast (even Bruce Willis, who is typically blah). Get you butt in gear and check this film out immediately.

Performance of the Day

Actor: GARY SINISE
Film: "Of Mice and Men"
Character: George Milton
Year: 1992

Pulling double duty (as director and star), Gary Sinise perfectly plays 'George Milton' in the film based on the classic book, "Of Mice and Men". Sinise is wonderful opposite fantastic actor John Malkovich. The two play friends, with Sinise's 'George' taking care of Malkovich's mentally-challenged 'Lennie'. The film is sweet and sad and Sinise does a great job of under-playing his part.

Did You Know...

... "Con Air" costars John Malkovich and Nicolas Cage both turned down the role of 'The Green Goblin' in 2002's "Spiderman". The part went to Willem Dafoe.
