Oxford grad, Katherine Parkinson, studied drama at the London Academy of Music and Drama. She began her career in plays like "The Age of Consent" with Julie Walters and "The Seagull" with Kristin Scott Thomas. She got her first big break with a recurring role on "Doc Martin" in 2005, but it was her hilarious turn as 'Jen' in the hit series "The IT Crowd", that has brought her tremendous fame in England.
